Fish, Swim, and Sleep Under Pennsylvania Stars

A lakeside campground in Catawissa, PA with direct access to Knoebels Amusement Resort.

About Us

A tranquil view of Lake Glory with vibrant autumn foliage. — Lake Glory Campground
A tranquil view of Lake Glory with vibrant autumn foliage.

Pull up to Lake Glory Campground on Eisenhower Road and the first thing you notice is the water. The lake sits right there, calm and fishable, the kind of spot where you can cast a line from your site and pull in largemouth bass before breakfast. That combination of genuine outdoor access and proximity to one of America's last free-admission amusement parks is what keeps families returning summer after summer.

The campground sits outside Catawissa, PA in the rolling hills of Columbia County, far enough from the highway to feel remote but close enough to Knoebels that the resort runs its own shuttle bus directly from the property. Guests rave about the office staff, who know the park schedule, trail conditions, and local fishing spots by heart.

Choose your style of stay: a traditional tent or RV site with full views of the lake, or a cabin that puts a roof over your head without pulling you far from the sounds of the woods. The cabins are rustic by design, so pack layers and your own bedding if comfort is a priority. That honesty is part of the appeal here. Lake Glory does not pretend to be a resort hotel. It is a proper campground, and for the right traveler, that is exactly the point.

What We Offer

Lakefront campsites let you set up directly on the water's edge, where fishing for bass and catfish is as simple as walking ten feet from your tent. RV hookups are available for those who prefer to bring their home on the road, and the grounds are laid out to give each site a reasonable sense of privacy among the trees.

Cabin rentals offer a step up from tenting without sacrificing the outdoor feel. Bring your own air conditioner or small heater depending on the season, and pack your preferred bedding for the best night's sleep. The Knoebels shuttle bus runs from the campground to the park, so you can spend the day on wooden roller coasters and classic rides without moving your car. Staff at the main office can walk you through park hours, fishing regulations on the lake, and nearby hiking options in the Catawissa area.

Swimming, paddling, and general lake recreation round out the on-site experience. Whether your crew is here for a single weekend or a week-long summer run, the campground's relaxed pace and natural setting make it easy to unplug and actually rest.

"We had a wonderful stay at Lake Glory Campground! It’s a beautiful and peaceful spot, my husband even fished right in the lake and caught some largemouth bass and a small catfish. The scenery was absolutely picturesque, especially in the fall with that gorgeous autumn haze that made everything look like something out of Pinterest. The campground itself was quiet, clean, and well maintained. Not every campsite was booked during our stay, which made it feel spacious and not overcrowded. The shuttle to Knoebels was super convenient and a great perk for campers. The only downside was that our tent site was near some campers who stayed up until about 1:15 a.m. our first night and were quite loud. Since we were in a tent, we could hear everything. We didn’t end up complaining, but it did take away from the peaceful atmosphere that night. Overall though, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back again especially in the fall!"

"We Love lake glory campground. We stayed in a cabin. It was so fun and the staff at the office were so kind and informative, especially about the park. Even the bus driver who takes you to Knoebles was so kind and came back for our family bc we weren’t ready at the exact time the bus was leaving. I also appreciate how clean the bathrooms are for a campground. I def recommend this camp ground for families."

"The cabins were disappointing. There are nothing but a box with no AC or heat. Bring your own air conditioner or heater. Bring your own mattress as theirs are not very good. The personnel there are fantastic and very very nice. The service there is excellent. Everything in the campsite is fantastic except for the cabins. I on have been going there for 30 years now in my own RV and I've always had a great time. But if you're renting a cabin be prepared for what you get."
